Veterinary Neurologist Opening
Veterinary Specialists of South Florida (VSSF) is seeking a board certified or residency trained Veterinary Internal Medicine specialist to join our group. We have been helping pets in South Florida since 1994 and are looking for someone to help us grow in the future.
We are located approximately 15 minutes southwest of Fort Lauderdale. VSSF is a busy referral practice offering state of the art veterinary care. The hospital houses a complete surgical, medical and radiological facility in approximately 15,000 square feet. We have 12 exam rooms (including rooms for echocardiography and ultrasonography), 2 radiology suites and a large ICU. Our surgical facility (4 OR's) provides a full complement of surgical equipment (including a complete selection of orthopedic, minimally invasive and neurosurgical equipment) as well as advanced surgical monitors (eg. pulse oximetry, blood pressure, ECG, and end-tidal CO2). We also have a complete complement of medical equipment including blood gas analysis, BP, coagulation, temperature and ECG continuous monitoring, CBC, electrolyte and serum chemistry analysis. We also offer video endoscopy and continuous renal replacement therapy (dialysis). The radiological facility includes fluoroscopy, digital radiology, computed tomography (CT scan), MR imaging, and ultrasonography (including spectral, colorflow and power color Doppler studies). The radiation therapy facility includes a linear accelerator with a multileaf collimator and IMRT functions, an orthovoltage unit, plesiotherapy and radioiodine therapy for feline hyperthyroidism.

Veterinary Specialists of South Florida (VSSF) is seeking internship-trained veterinarians to join our Emergency and Critical Care Services team. VSSF offers the most highly skilled and comprehensive array of veterinary specialists under one roof along with advanced diagnostic and surgical equipment. We are a busy referral practice offering advanced state-of- the-art veterinary specialty services including: Emergency/Critical Care Medicine, Cardiology, Neurology, Radiation & Medical Oncology, Radiology and Surgery. The emergency and critical care service is directed by a board-certified criticalist and has an extensive support team. The afternoon and evening support staff consists of licensed veterinary technicians, assistants and receptionists that have years of experience. There are “on-call” teams for major emergency surgeries such as GDV, mechanical ventilation, endoscopy and neurosurgery. You will enjoy working with our experienced personnel and our wonderful referring veterinarians. The specialty staff team works well with the emergency service, providing case consultation and feedback.
