VSSF's surgical service is dedicated to providing your four-legged family member with the highest quality of surgical care possible. Our highly trained and competent staff is committed to enhancing the quality of life for our patients and strengthening the human-animal bond by providing excellent surgical care, vigilant anesthetic monitoring, and comprehensive pain prevention and management.

The hospital has four surgical suites and is well-equipped to perform a variety of orthopedic, soft-tissue, oncologic, neurosurgical, and minimally invasive surgeries. Among the procedures offered at Veterinary Specialists of South Florida are tibial plateau leveling osteotomy (TPLO), portosystemic shunt ligations, external fixation/hybrid fixators for fractures, arthroscopy, laparoscopy, and thoracoscopy.

Our surgeons work closely with the other specialists to ensure efficiency and case continuity. Our surgical team is well supported by in-house radiology services including intraoperative radiology, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, CT scan, and MRI.
